Lafaek News–Nanning, July 3 (Xinhua)–Preparations for the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo are progressing rapidly, with nearly 70% of the planned exhibition areas completed, according to the Expo Secretariat on July 3.
ASEAN countries are actively organizing high-tech enterprises to participate. East Timor is making its debut as a full ASEAN member state, and new ASEAN elements continue to emerge. Vietnam continues to have its own dedicated pavilion, while Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand each have exhibition areas approaching 2,000 square meters. Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand have finalized their first batch of participating companies. Eight ASEAN countries have tentatively selected their “Cities of Charm.” Enthusiasm from countries outside the region is also high. Companies from SCO member states such as Pakistan and Uzbekistan intend to participate. The China-Europe Economic and Technological Cooperation Association will organize European companies to participate. Guangxi’s international sister provinces and cities continue to participate. Companies from Sri Lanka, Brazil, and South Africa will also showcase their national specialties.

Domestic provinces and cities are actively participating, with many new and popular products making their debut. More than 30 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across China will participate in the exhibition, focusing on fields such as artificial intelligence, new energy and power, smart cities, digital technology, and biomedicine, showcasing China’s industrial strength and innovative achievements in all aspects. Multiple exhibition areas will launch a number of high-tech products and new product debuts. Leading enterprises in the supply chain will actively play a leading role, promoting collaborative participation from upstream and downstream companies.
This year’s China-ASEAN Expo is expected to invite 30,000 domestic and international buyers, a 15% increase compared to the previous edition. The “AI China-ASEAN Expo” intelligent platform continues to promote precise invitations to domestic and international buyers. Meanwhile, 36 professional channels from home and abroad, including the China Electricity Council, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, the Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, have expressed their intention to participate in the expo as a group.
The 23rd China-ASEAN Expo will be held in Nanning, Guangxi, from September 17th to 21st, featuring five major themes: commodity trade, investment cooperation, service trade, advanced technology, and “Charming City.” During the expo, a series of investment promotion activities will be held around these themes, and 41 investment promotion activities have already been collected (Xinhua).
