CCTV.com News: The 23rd China-ASEAN Expo (hereinafter referred to as “CAEXPO”) will, for the first time, establish two brand-new exhibition areas. Through practical measures such as optimizing exhibition content, releasing authoritative information, and extending service mechanisms, CAEXPO aims to build a comprehensive service system connecting to the 3.0 version, helping all parties seize opportunities in the implementation of new rules.
This year’s CAEXPO will, for the first time, add a Future Space Exhibition Area, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and products in the aerospace and marine fields, including satellite navigation, commercial aerospace, and deep-sea operation equipment. Simultaneously, it will establish a Science and Technology Innovation Enterprise Growth Empowerment Exhibition Area for the first time, providing a platform for seed-stage, start-up, and growth-stage technology-based innovative enterprises to showcase their cutting-edge technologies, core products, and practical applications.
While building new exhibition areas, this year’s CAEXPO will also promote the upgrading of existing exhibition areas and actively expand innovative scenarios. Specialized thematic exhibition areas will be set up for digital economy and green low-carbon technologies, showcasing the latest achievements and application scenarios of cutting-edge digital technologies such as 6G communication and cloud computing, while also displaying advanced technologies and practical cases of green trade and low-carbon coordinated development, such as solid waste disposal and ecological restoration. The mature exhibition areas for smart energy and power, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, green and intelligent transportation and engineering equipment, green building materials and smart homes, and smart agriculture have been further upgraded. Through scenario-based and case-based demonstrations, the 3.0 version of the policy provisions are concretized into tangible cooperation entry points for enterprises, allowing exhibitors to simultaneously conduct market research, technology observation, and business negotiations.
Artificial intelligence (AI) will be a highlight of this year’s CAEXPO. An innovative dual-exhibition-area linkage model will be adopted, with AI exhibition areas simultaneously set up at the main venue, Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center, and the NanA Community, forming complementary functions. The Convention and Exhibition Center will focus on creating a “large marketplace” for Chinese AI products, while the NanA Community will focus on scenario applications, promoting the dissemination of Chinese AI achievements to ASEAN countries after pilot programs in Guangxi.
This year’s CAEXPO is the first to promote the “large leading small” participation of supply chain leaders. Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders will jointly showcase their products and services with upstream and downstream SMEs, forming an exhibition pattern of “leading enterprises, supporting enterprises, and overall integration,” effectively improving the efficiency of supply and demand matching and connection. In addition, a dedicated exhibition area for the Pinglu Canal will showcase the entire operation of this waterway, the shortest and lowest-cost waterway connecting Southwest China to ASEAN, vividly demonstrating the canal’s driving effect on the coordinated development of cross-border production and supply chains.
The effectiveness of the rules hinges on whether enterprises can “understand and utilize” them. During this year’s CAEXPO, various promotional activities will be held to invite enterprises from China and ASEAN countries to share their practical experiences in participating in free trade zone construction and seizing business opportunities. They will also share insights from a business perspective on new business opportunities in the nine major areas of the 3.0 version, promoting the wider and deeper benefits of the 3.0 version to enterprises from both sides.
Since the beginning of this year, the CAEXPO Secretariat has conducted global promotional roadshows in Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, and Cambodia, organizing enterprises to participate in the 35th Vietnam International Trade Fair, the 2026 Indonesia International Food and Beverage Trade Fair, and the 2026 Philippines International Food Fair through specialized exhibition areas. This has facilitated successful signing of cooperation projects in areas such as AI application scenarios, green energy equipment, and agricultural product processing technologies, laying a solid foundation for the implementation of the 3.0 version.
